As a growing company, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients, and we are seeking a Yard & Fleet Manager to join our team.Job Summary:
The Yard & Fleet Manager is responsible for ensuring our trailers, vehicles, equipment, and facilities are organized, maintained, and deployment-ready at all times. This role serves as the operational hub between technicians, sales & operations management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and professional operation. This position is hands-on and requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Fleet & Equipment Management- Maintain records of fleet readiness including trailers, battery systems, vehicles, generators, and support equipment
- Coordinate inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and cleaning schedules
- Conduct routine yard walks and equipment condition assessments
- Track equipment status, service intervals, and repair needs Yard Operations
- Manage daily yard activities, including equipment staging, loading, unloading, and storage.
- Ensure all equipment is properly organized, labeled, and stored.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility appearance.
- Oversee inventory of tools, supplies, parts, and consumables.
- Complete quality control inspections pre & post rental Logistics Support
- Coordinate vehicle rental schedule including movements, deliveries, pickups, and service
- Work closely with operations management to ensure client orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Assist with dispatch planning and resource allocation. Team Leadership
- Supervise yard personnel and coordinate daily work assignments.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality.
- Train team members on procedures, equipment handling, and best practices.
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement throughout the operation. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company safety policies and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company requirements where applicable.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and facility operations.
- Identify and address potential safety concerns before they become issues.
Qualifications:
Required- 3+ years of experience managing yard operations, fleet operations, construction equipment, transportation equipment, rental equipment, or related fields. OR multi-year experience in film & television in transportation, locations or production office
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience coordinating maintenance and repair activities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major bonus
- Familiarity with electrical systems, batteries, solar equipment, or generators.
- Experience using inventory, fleet, or maintenance management software.
