In this pivotal role, you will oversee the accurate, timely, and customer-ready execution of wholesale, distributor, and business-to-business orders. This is a hands-on warehouse-floor position that works alongside the team while planning daily workflow, assigning priorities, verifying complex orders, and resolving operational issues. The role develops employees, maintains strong safety and quality standards, and partners with Sales, Customer Service, Inventory, and the Warehouse Manager to meet customer commitments and support growth. Responsibilities Lead daily wholesale fulfillment activities, including order review, pulling, staging, verification, packing, labeling, palletizing, documentation, and shipment preparation. Work hands-on on the warehouse floor and personally perform fulfillment duties as needed to meet service, quality, and shipping commitments. Review purchase orders, account instructions, routing guides, case-pack requirements, carrier deadlines, appointments, and special handling instructions before work begins. Plan staffing and workflow, assign daily priorities, balance labor across orders, and adjust assignments as order volume and business needs change. Supervise, train, coach, and develop the Wholesale Lead and employees assigned to wholesale fulfillment. Monitor productivity, order accuracy, packing quality, attendance, safety, and compliance with account-specific requirements and provide timely feedback. Conduct performance evaluations and partner with the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources on engagement, coaching and progressive discipline. Verify high-value, complex, or exception orders before release and ensure products, quantities, labels, lot or item details, documentation, and presentation are correct. Coordinate with Sales regarding priorities, shortages, substitutions, order changes, special projects, customer requirements, and delivery risks. Partner with Inventory to research discrepancies, locate product, correct stock issues, and support cycle counts and physical inventories. Prepare, review, and retain packing lists, pallet counts, labels, bills of lading, shipment records, and other required wholesale documentation. Coordinate carrier pickups, less-than-truckload shipments, appointment deliveries, routing-guide requirements, and dock readiness when assigned. Maintain organized, clean, safe, and adequately supplied wholesale staging, packing, and storage areas. Track and communicate order status, backlog, accuracy, productivity, damages, shortages, shipping exceptions, and other assigned performance measures. Investigate errors, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and recommend improvements to workflow, layout, systems, documentation, and training. Operate material-handling equipment only when trained and authorized and ensure assigned employees follow Company safety, security, inventory, and timekeeping requirements. Support general warehouse operations, e-commerce fulfillment, receiving, inventory projects, and peak-period needs when directed. Perform other duties as assigned that are reasonably related to the position's purpose and level of responsibility. Supervisory responsibilities This position directly supervises the Wholesale Lead and employees assigned to wholesale fulfillment. Responsibilities include daily work assignment, training, coaching, performance feedback, and performance evaluation. The Wholesale Fulfillment Manager partners with the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources on hiring, formal corrective action, and separation decisions. Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least four years of warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, inventory, or distribution experience, including at least two years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Hands-on experience fulfilling wholesale, business-to-business, distributor, retail-account, palletized, or other complex orders. Ability to read and apply purchase orders, routing guides, labels, shipping instructions, bills of lading, and account-specific requirements. Working knowledge of warehouse safety, inventory control, order verification, packing, shipping, and material-handling practices. Physical requirements Frequently stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Frequently reach, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull, and carry while handling products and supplies. Move and lift up to 50 pounds at a time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Use hands and fingers to handle products, labels, scanners, packing materials, tools, and equipment. Perform close visual work and distinguish product details, labels, quantities, and visible damage.
