Our distribution/order fulfilment warehouse in Elmsford, NY has an immediate opening for a hands-on Jr. Assistant Warehouse Manager for the Distribution Department. We are looking for an experienced warehouse professional with 3+ years of experience in Distribution to join our team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of order fulfillment. This distribution center currently has a manual picking and packing operation. We are transitioning to an automated RF scanning operation. Under the Direction of the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will be required to Retrieve/Deliver documents from/to the main office Sort the pick tickets and assign the work to the proper team member. Record the order assignments via Excel Responsible for preparing the loading dock for outbound deliveries Load the outbound LTL freight onto the delivery trucks Record the loads via Excel Other Duties as assigned by Management Skills Required Experience working in a warehouse with some management responsibility Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel Strong interpersonal skills- Detail-oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to lift 50+ pounds Bilingual in Spanish is a plus We are looking for a team player who is comfortable switching between multiple responsibilities to help maintain a high-functioning warehouse.
