Job Description
Thomas O. Miller & Co. is a fourth-generation, family-owned foodservice distributor and coffee company serving the Hudson Valley and Tri-State area for more than 67 years. Based in Marlboro, NY, we provide high-quality products and exceptional service to restaurants, delis, country clubs, healthcare facilities, and other foodservice establishments throughout the region. We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Manager to lead our outbound warehouse operation and ensure our delivery routes are accurately picked, loaded, finalized, and ready for next-day dispatch.
Schedule:
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday | 6:00 PM-5:00AM Days Off:
Tuesday, Friday & Saturday This is a hands-on management position . You will lead the night warehouse team while working alongside them on the floor, coaching employees, verifying picks, overseeing truck loading, and ensuring all paperwork and invoices are finalized before the end of the shift. Duties & Responsibilities Lead and oversee all nightly outbound warehouse operations. Uphold and enforce company policies, SOPs, safety procedures, and food-handling standards. Oversee order picking, pallet building/wrapping, and truck loading to achieve accuracy and productivity goals. Ensure all routes are completed and ready to depart on time. Manage labor, overtime, picking accuracy, and damages to meet operating goals. Finalize and print invoices and complete nightly paperwork, reports, and shift handoff notes. Train, coach, supervise, and cross-train night selectors. Reinforce warehouse best practices and safe equipment operation while identifying and resolving nightly operational issues. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of warehouse/distribution experience, including supervisory or management experience. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Proficient in operating electric pallet jacks and stand-up reach trucks. Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 60 lbs. Basic computer proficiency, including Windows and Microsoft Office. Professional, team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on accountability and results. Compensation $75,000-$90,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus opportunities.
