Industrial Fluid Distribution & Energy Logistics Company Overview We are recruiting on behalf of an established industrial fluid distribution and supply firm located in Valley Stream, NY. Known for reliable commercial supply chain operations, they are seeking a hands-on, high-ownership Warehouse Manager to lead daily facility operations, bulk fluid transfers, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse safety. Position Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all receiving, repackaging, inventory, equipment maintenance, and outbound distribution operations. This is an active, floor-focused leadership position requiring technical forklift expertise, physical capability, and experience managing bulk liquid transfers (tanker trailers, bulk totes, and drums). The ideal candidate leads by example, enforces strict safety and security protocols, and maintains accurate computer inventory tracking.

Key Responsibilities Bulk Fluid Handling & Repackaging:

Direct and execute the offloading of bulk tanker trailers into bulk storage tanks, loading into tanker trucks, and repackaging bulk fluids into 330-gallon totes, 55-gallon drums, 16-gallon kegs, and 5-gallon pails.

Inventory Control & Data Entry:

Maintain physical inventory accuracy for all bulk oil and repackaged products through daily/monthly physical cycle counts and daily computer system reconciliation.

Warehouse Leadership & Staff Management:

Schedule, assign, train, and supervise warehouse employees. Conduct hiring, performance appraisals, coaching, and policy enforcement.

Operations & Safety Protocols:

Enforce site safety guidelines, security protocols, operational procedures, and facility maintenance.

Facility & Equipment Maintenance:

Inspect and maintain warehouse layout, equipment, and tools; issue work orders for repairs and requisition replacement parts as necessary to keep the entire facility clean and operational.

Floor Execution:

Perform hands-on picking, packing, loading, unloading, and heavy lifting alongside the warehouse team.

Qualifications & Requirements Forklift Certification:

Active Forklift Certification with 3-5+ years of hands-on, proficient forklift operating experience required.

Bulk Handling Experience:

Prior experience with bulk liquid, oil, chemical, or fluid repackaging/tanker operations is highly preferred.

Leadership Capability:

Proven track record of managing warehouse personnel, daily scheduling, and inventory reporting.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs, work in an active warehouse/tanker yard environment, and maintain reliable personal transportation.

Computer Skills:

Functional proficiency in computer data entry for daily inventory logging and system updates.

Compensation / Pay

Rate (Up to): $70,000.00
