Our warehouse operation plays a critical role in making that happen. From receiving and inventory control to order fulfillment and staging, accuracy and organization directly impact the service we provide to our customers. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of our Westbury warehouse. About the Role The Assistant Warehouse Manager helps manage the people, workflow and inventory that keeps our warehouse running efficiently. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you will help organize daily priorities, direct warehouse employees, monitor productivity and accuracy, maintain inventory controls, and make sure orders are completed and properly staged for delivery. Because this position works 12:00 PM-9:00 PM , you will also play an important role in overseeing the later part of the operation and making sure the warehouse is properly closed and prepared for the next business day. This is a hands-on management position. You should be comfortable leading employees and holding them accountable while also stepping onto the warehouse floor when the operation needs you. Responsibilities Assist the Warehouse Manager with the daily management of warehouse operations and employees. Direct, assign and monitor the work of warehouse staff throughout the shift. Establish priorities based on order volume, incoming deliveries and operational needs. Monitor employee productivity, accuracy, attendance and adherence to warehouse procedures. Provide coaching and direction to employees and escalate performance or conduct concerns when appropriate. Oversee the picking, packing and staging of customer orders to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Ensure orders are properly completed and staged for upcoming delivery routes. Oversee receiving and proper storage of incoming inventory. Maintain inventory controls and assist with cycle counts, physical inventory and inventory adjustments. Investigate inventory discrepancies, picking errors and shipping errors and work to identify and correct root causes. Monitor product dates and ensure expired or outdated inventory is identified and removed. Oversee loading and unloading activities and ensure products are handled safely and accurately. Coordinate with Purchasing, Dispatch, Client Care and other departments to resolve issues affecting orders or inventory. Help train and onboard warehouse employees and reinforce company procedures and expectations. Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness and organization standards. Monitor end-of-shift clean-up, restocking and closing procedures. Communicate significant operational issues, staffing concerns and recurring errors to the Warehouse Manager. Provide operational and productivity information as requested. Open or close the warehouse as assigned. Perform hands-on warehouse duties when needed to support the operation. Qualifications Previous warehouse or distribution experience required. Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Experience directing employees and managing daily workflow. Strong knowledge of receiving, inventory control, picking, staging and shipping processes. Ability to coach employees, address performance issues and maintain accountability. Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills. Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems. Forklift experience preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments. Dependable, consistent attendance and availability to work the required schedule.

Full-time, hourly Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse management position. The role requires regular standing and walking throughout the warehouse as well as reaching, bending, stooping and other physical activity. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds and work safely around warehouse equipment and moving vehicles.
