Job Description

Innovative Products of America (IPA®) is seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations at our Woodstock, NY facility. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the organization, accuracy, and efficiency of our warehouse, including receiving, inventory control, material storage and movement, and supervision of warehouse personnel. This position works closely with our production, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure materials and finished goods are properly received, stored, tracked, and available when needed. This is a hands-on management position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their department, leads by example, and is comfortable working alongside their team when needed. Responsibilities Manage and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations Supervise, train, schedule, and provide direction to warehouse employees Oversee the receiving of incoming materials and products Ensure received materials are accurately counted, documented, labeled, and stored in the proper locations Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records Monitor inventory levels and investigate and resolve discrepancies Oversee cycle counts and assist with physical inventory Maintain an organized and efficient system for warehouse locations and material storage Coordinate the movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility Ensure production has the materials and components needed to maintain workflow Coordinate with purchasing regarding incoming materials, shortages, discrepancies, and inventory needs Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure finished goods are organized and available for shipment Establish and maintain efficient warehouse procedures and workflows Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and productivity Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment Ensure employees follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to procedures Oversee proper use and care of warehouse equipment Troubleshoot day-to-day warehouse and inventory issues as they arise Participate directly in warehouse activities when needed Qualifications Five years Previous warehouse inventory, distribution, or manufacturing experience required Previous supervisory or management experience required Strong inventory management and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage employees and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively with production, purchasing, shipping, and other departments Experience with inventory or warehouse management software preferred Forklift experience preferred Basic computer skills required Ability to safely perform the physical requirements associated with warehouse operations including being on your feet most of the work day and lifting 50 lbs What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who can take ownership of the warehouse and keep it running efficiently without needing constant direction. You should be proactive, dependable, highly- organized, and able to identify and solve problems before they disrupt production. This is not a desk-only management position. The Warehouse Manager should have a strong understanding of what is happening on the warehouse floor, maintain high standards for organization and inventory accuracy, and be willing to jump in and work alongside the team.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
