Full-Time Job Summary:
Bedford Metal Recycling is seeking an organized, dependable, and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all shipping and receiving operations. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing freight, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating warehouse activities, supervising warehouse personnel, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling deliveries and shipments Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and inventory control procedures Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure efficient daily operations Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks while ensuring materials are properly documented Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and inspect materials for quality and condition Maintain organized warehouse storage and optimize material flow Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed (certification preferred) Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards Coordinate with office staff, customers, and vendors regarding shipments and inventory Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records using company systems Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse management or shipping and receiving experience required Strong organizational and leadership skills Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations Forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to obtain) Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management software Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed Strong communication and problem-solving skills Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-focused
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor industrial warehouse setting Fast-paced environment requiring frequent movement and coordination Regular operation of forklifts and material handling equipment Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times
