A Warehouse Manager manages warehouse storage of inventory or supplies for a company. Maintains records of inventory and supplies; oversees distribution from storage out to customers, retail distributors or other company facilities.

POSITION SUMMARY
Develop and maintain transportation, warehousing, and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency and flow of finished goods and raw materials to internal and external customers. Promote a culture of Safety and Quality in the warehousing operations. Leadership of warehouse staff including administration, pre-weigh, shipping and receiving at both the warehouse and plant, and delivery drivers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the Safety and Regulatory performance of the warehouse and plant shipping operation and team members. Expectation is to lead by example and promote a safety-first culture. Primary regulatory areas affecting the warehouse are OSHA, FDA, and DOT
Manages order fulfillment, including labelling, storage, picking, and arranging transportation as needed to serve the customer
Ensures inventory is kept 100% accurate and transactions are performed with integrity
Ensures Balchem Quality systems and procedures are followed at all times
Develops and maintains SOPs for the warehouse for all required operations
Responsible for the receipt of raw materials and the just-in-time delivery of raw materials from the warehouse to the manufacturing site
Ensures incoming material meets Quality specifications upon receipt and information is properly captured in the ERP system
Responsible for maintaining a small production (pre-weigh) operation that supplies pre-built "kits" of raw materials for production
Ensures staffing levels are sufficient for the business and that people are trained and held accountable for their job duties
Supports cost savings and efficiency projects within the warehouse and plant
Ensures mobile equipment is compliant, registered, and maintained for reliable use
Other duties as assigned within the plant locations and warehouse
REQUIREMENTS
Four-year degree or equivalent preferred
Previous warehouse leadership experience in a high mix operation
Hazmat certified for hazardous material shipments
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products; Must be proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g. D365)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
Ability to cope well under deadlines and work flexibly as needed to meet the schedule
(Preferred) Class A Commercial Driver's License
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work environment is generally indoors, but does involve being on the floor in production areas that are not climate controlled
Hours are generally during day shift, but may require off-hours work as business needs arise
