Chemical Warehouse Manager Salary:
$90,000 - $115,000 per year Lead a High-Performing Chemical Distribution Center Are you an experienced warehouse leader with a background in chemical distribution, manufacturing, or industrial operations ? Do you enjoy leading teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence? Our client is seeking a Chemical Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse and distribution operations for a busy, fast-paced chemical distribution facility. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. If you have experience managing warehouse operations, inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics teams, we'd like to speak with you. What You'll Do As the Chemical Warehouse Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the distribution center while leading a multi-shift team responsible for receiving, inventory management, shipping, and logistics.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and develop warehouse, shipping, receiving, and logistics personnel Manage inbound receiving, inventory control, storage, and outbound shipping operations Ensure accurate order fulfillment and on-time customer deliveries Oversee hazardous material shipping documentation and regulatory compliance Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction Develop and implement warehouse procedures, work instructions, and best practices Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve warehouse performance Recruit, train, coach, and develop warehouse employees Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and 5S standards Coordinate truck scheduling, LTL shipments, and shipping documentation Work closely with Operations, Production, and Customer Service to support business objectives Qualifications We're looking for someone who has: 5+ years of warehouse management experience (chemical, manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment preferred) Experience leading warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory teams Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control Experience with hazardous materials (HAZMAT) shipping and documentation ERP experience (SAP preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field Experience with international shipping Knowledge of cost control and warehouse performance metrics What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, developing employees, improving processes, and creating a safe, organized, and efficient operation.
