Job Description
Anchor is a global leader in the Automotive aftermarket. Anchor is looking to hire a bright, organized and motivated individual to serve as Warehouse Manager. We seek applicants who are willing to roll up their sleeves, enjoy hard work and thrive in a team environment.
The Company:
Anchor was founded in 1933 in Cleveland, OH. Anchor manufactures and distributes engine and transmission components to the automotive aftermarket.The Role:
Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the receiving, storage, packing and shipping of product to meet our customer's needs. Manage the activities related to upkeep and/or modification of the facility.These activities include:
scheduling, staffing assignments, record keeping, quality control, housekeeping, organization of the warehouse, coordinating daily plant floor activities, coordinating facility upkeep or repair activities, and seeing that proper training is provided to all warehouse staff to create a safe and efficient working environment.Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse personnel
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
- Dispatch employees and ensure responsibilities are being completed in a timely manner
- Oversee the processing of pick tickets to ensure all orders are shipped on time and to customer's specifications
- Coordinate pickup schedules with freight carriers
- Oversee employee training/ onboarding and place new hires
- Establish and assist in the development of warehouse policies and objectives and assure adherence to best practices
- Keep employee attendance records and reconcile discrepancies with payroll
- Ensure the facility is organized and kept clean
- Maintain high employee engagement

- Able to engage and motive a wide range of personalities
- Strong verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization Qualities we seek:
- Experience in warehousing or distribution in an upper-middle management operations role
- Experience managing a team of direct reports
- Experience with warehouse / material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack)
- A proficient problem solver
