About the
Role:
Monrovia in Dayton, Oregon is currently seeking a candidate to fill the role of a Local Fleet Coach. This role focuses on managing our local fleet drivers and delivery equipment, developing strong customer relationships, and optimizing delivery routes across the sales region to maximize efficiency in cost and delivery time while ensuring the delivery of quality products to our customers.Employment Status:
Employment is full-time, Salary Exempt from overtimeShift:
Morning shift between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Saturday, hours are subject to change based on business need. What You'll Do You will… Supervise and coordinate daily activities of local fleet drivers Monitor driver performance, safety compliance, and adherence to delivery schedules Provide guidance and support to drivers regarding route optimization and customer service standards Conduct regular check-ins with drivers to address concerns and ensure efficient operations Develop and maintain efficient delivery routes to accomplish company objective of shipping "on time" Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, understanding their specific delivery requirements and preferences Proactively communicate with customers and sales department regarding delivery schedules, delays, or special arrangements Develop comprehensive knowledge of customer locations, delivery constraints, and sales staff in the region. Effectively communicate with drivers, loading coaches, supervisors, and sales teams Support administrative tasks related to local fleet operations including scheduling, routing software, and delivery documentation, and other needs of the logistics department. Coordinate with other routers within the department and other nursery locations 12. Monitor and analyze delivery performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities Coordinate maintenance program and enforce compliance. Who You Are You… Attendance record within company policy Strong leadership and people management skills for driver supervision Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities Ability to effectively communicate with sales department, supervisors, drivers, and customers Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when needed Valid driver's license and driving record within company guidelines Focus on efficiency and quality to support the Grow Beautifully efforts Ability and willingness to work in other assigned areas when directed by coach Problem-solving skills for addressing driver and customer issues Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience 5+ years computer experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Previous experience in fleet management, logistics, or driver supervision preferred Customer service experience in a business-to-business environment desired US general geographic knowledge required Experience with routing software and GPS systems preferred Benefits at Monrovia When you participate in our 401(k) plan, you'll get a company match of up to 4%.
