In this vital role, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient inventory control, seamless logistics, and safe handling of materials. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize warehouse workflows, and foster a motivated team committed to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex distribution operations while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including team management, training, and performance development to ensure high productivity and morale. Oversee warehouse distribution processes, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to meet operational targets. Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels and data integrity. Coordinate logistics activities with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal departments to streamline supply chain operations. Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners safely and efficiently for movement of goods within the warehouse. Drive process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety protocols across all warehouse activities, including heavy lifting and mechanical operation safety. Manage shipping & receiving operations, ensuring timely dispatches and deliveries aligned with customer expectations. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using systems like AS400 or other warehouse management tools. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the warehouse environment. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution center management with a strong background in inventory control and logistics. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous warehouse supervisor or manager experience; ability to motivate teams effectively. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, MS Office Suite, including Excel for reporting purposes. Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment operation is highly desirable. Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, e-commerce fulfillment processes, and 3PL coordination. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams through change and process improvements. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices; commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting; comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail. Familiarity with lean management principles for process optimization; experience with AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
