Direct responsibility for coordinating and tracking vehicles assigned to yard inventory. This role involves working closely with incoming drivers to manage traffic flow, vehicle staging and positioning, while ensuring safety and operational standards. Ensure proper tracking and logistical coordination of inventory. Utilize vehicle management software and technology to monitor in real-time, ensuring accurate recording and updating of vehicle status. Maintain precise inventory of vehicles, regularly reconciling vehicles with system records. Coordinate with drivers to facilitate smooth traffic flow, including unloading, loading, and staging of vehicles, while ensuring proper documentation. Ensures yard is neat, clean, and free of debris and/or hazards. Enforce safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture. Collaborate with operations, drivers, and management to address yard issues promptly, optimizing throughput and minimizing delays. Conduct periodic safety inspections and environment assessments to uphold compliance standards. Work with various law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, auctions, and internal departments regarding vehicle inventory.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in yard management, logistics, or related operations, with proficiency in vehicle management systems. Strong organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a yard environment. Familiarity with vehicle management software and tracking technology used in logistics operations. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to fast-paced conditions, and maintain high accuracy in record-keeping. Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and system navigation. Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, or other yard equipment (preferred). Valid driver's license. Be at least eighteen years of age.
