Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations. In this vital role, you will oversee inventory management, streamline logistics processes, and manage a team of warehouse staff. Your leadership will ensure efficient distribution, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement to support our growth and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure smooth operations. Manage warehouse distribution processes, coordinating with logistics providers and internal teams to meet delivery deadlines. Oversee inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels and facilitate timely replenishment. Lead and develop warehouse staff through training, performance management, and team management best practices. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and implement safety protocols across all warehouse operations. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 to track inventory movements and optimize workflow efficiency. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall warehouse performance. Experience Proven experience managing a warehouse or distribution center with a focus on inventory management and logistics coordination. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), including AS400 or similar platforms. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and materials handling procedures. Hands-on experience with forklift operation, heavy lifting, and mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment.
