What You'll Achieve at SANS We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our Beltsville Warehouse team. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled safely, accurately, on-time, and in-full while maintaining a highly organized and efficient operation at the Beltsville, MD warehouse. This role is critical to SANS's ability to deliver a world-class training experience by ensuring every student and every event receives the right materials, on time, every time. As a Warehouse Manager , you will: Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. Enter incoming non-Odoo orders. Review incoming Sales Orders for accuracy. Establish daily priorities to balance workload and resources. Monitor order queues and address issues that may impact customer commitments. Manage fulfillment of Live training course orders, including releasing orders and coordinating deliveries with print vendors to ensure correct items, quantities, and shipping details. Oversee storage, tracking, inspection, and readiness of rental equipment. Ensure returned equipment is properly inspected, processed, and prepared for future use. Manages costs for shipping and warehouse operations. Identify and implement process improvements supporting the operating plan. Ensure the building is safe, clean, secure, and well maintained. Lead the safety culture on-site by ensuring OSHA compliance, safety audits, and incident reviews. Coordinate facilities maintenance requests with the landlord and other service providers. Act as the point-of-contact with the landlord. Resolve customer service issues that involve fulfillment and shipping issues in a professional manner. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Leadership and Team Development Lead the team of people - both on-site and remote - who enable the customer and staff order fulfillment, logistics, and procurement processes for SANS. Develop operating plans for safety, cost, quality, and delivery performance. Ensure that the team is well-trained and qualified to complete their work efficiently and effectively. Provides leadership and operational oversight for warehouse activities and may assist with order fulfillment during peak business periods or to ensure operational continuity. Conduct one-on-ones with direct reports to provide feedback, coaching, and development. Provide performance reviews as required. Maintain warehouse procedures, standard work instructions, and operational documentation. Inventory Control Own inventory accuracy across all locations and inventory categories. Maintain inventory accuracy through effective controls, transaction discipline, and process compliance. Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Manage the order and supply levels at SANS's printer partners. Monitor their processes to ensure on-time order fulfillment and prevent stockouts. Act as the system administrator for the ERP system (Odoo) for SANS. Manage user access, system configuration, and data integrity in Odoo. Expected to develop deep expertise in Odoo and serve as the internal subject matter expert and primary liaison with SANS's Odoo partner. Perform other related duties as assigned. For this role, we're looking for candidates with: 2+ years of supervisory experience with demonstrated strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with customer-facing experience. Demonstrated success leading and coaching a team of people and meeting business objectives. 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistic experience. High School diploma or equivalent. Experience working with ERP systems performing both inventory management and order fulfillment. Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
