The Opportunity:
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be the person who keeps materials, equipment, and information moving. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, staging, shipping, and inventory management, and you will jump in hands-on to support field operations by driving and assisting with deliveries when needed. This role gives you the chance to lead, organize, and improve how the warehouse runs while staying close to the work. You will coordinate daily workload, keep the space safe and orderly, and make sure job sites and field teams have what they need to stay on schedule. If you like taking ownership of your area, keeping things organized, and solving practical problems, this role will feel like a good fit.
Key Responsibilities:
The warehouse is where every job at Encore quietly begins. As Warehouse Manager, you run the backstage operation that keeps material flowing, trucks loaded, and field teams working instead of waiting on parts. You turn pallets, packing slips, and inventory counts into clean staging, accurate orders, and on-time deliveries that keep projects moving. In this role, you will: Receive, count, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists so quantities and items are accurate Inspect deliveries for damage and clearly document any discrepancies or issues Pick, stage, and prepare orders for delivery to multiple job sites Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments to keep materials flowing smoothly Manage inventory using warehouse management software or other digital tools Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe for everyone who works in or passes through the space Assist in developing and refining warehouse procedures and systems to improve consistency and efficiency Perform basic maintenance and general upkeep in and around the warehouse and office Support field teams with deliveries and other warehouse related tasks, including operating company vehicles as needed Take on additional duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency What You Bring to the
Table:
Three or more years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or construction materials environment At least one year of experience in a lead or supervisory role, coordinating people, workflow, or shifts Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis Basic computer skills, including email and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar digital tools Willingness to learn and adopt new warehouse technologies, systems, and processes Comfort using hand tools and general warehouse equipment (for example, pallet jacks or forklifts, if trained) Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in counts, staging, and documentation Clear, practical communication skills and a problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced environment What Makes You Stand Out You have a bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Operations, or a related field. You have a DOT cylinder requalification certification, or you are ready to obtain it within your first six months. You have experience in fire protection, building services, or another field service-based industry. You are comfortable working with service KPIs and using data to guide decisions and coaching conversations.
