Responsibilities Fulfillment Operations:
Assist in overseeing daily e-commerce order fulfillment, picking, packing, and outbound shipping schedules to ensure fast transit times and accurate order delivery.
Inbound & Quality Control:
Manage inbound apparel shipments, ensuring proper SKU logging, barcode tagging, and thorough quality control checks for garment defects.
Process Optimization:
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse layout and reduce picking times using lean management principles tailored to apparel sorting.
Equipment & Tools:
Operate and supervise the use of material handling equipment, RF scanners, and automated tape or bagging machines safely and effectively.
Inventory Control:
Maintain strict inventory accuracy across hundreds of apparel SKUs (including size/color variations) through regular cycle counts and warehouse management systems.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and manage the warehouse fulfillment team to ensure high performance, safety adherence, and strict attention to packaging standards.
Logistics & Carrier Management:
Coordinate with major shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS) and optimize shipping materials to balance product protection and dimensional weight costs.
Safety Compliance:
Collaborate with supervisors on implementing warehouse operations best practices to optimize workflow, materials handling, and compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in warehouse operations, e-commerce fulfillment, or distribution center management, with a strong background in apparel logistics preferred.
Inventory Management:
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms, barcode scanning, and multi-SKU inventory reconciliation.
Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead high-volume fulfillment teams effectively with excellent managerial communication skills.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment, RF scanners, and implementing strict OSHA safety protocols.
Adaptability:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, peak seasonal surges (like Black Friday/Cyber Monday), and fast-paced daily shipping targets.
Operational Knowledge:
Knowledge of lean management principles, shipping and receiving procedures, returns processing (reverse logistics), and apparel materials handling.
Background:
Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor, fulfillment lead, or assistant manager is highly preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
