Full-Time Job Overview:
The inventory Manager at The Design Haus This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event inventory and leading our strike (post-event breakdown) team. From managing the flow of rental and floral inventory in and out of our warehouse, to ensuring efficient, smooth, and timely event breakdowns, this position plays a vital role in the success of our events.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain organization of all inventory, including hard goods, florals, vessels, and rental items Develop and implement inventory tracking systems to reduce loss and increase efficiency Ensure event inventory is properly prepared for delivery and accurately returned Help Schedule, lead, and manage the strike team for all post-event breakdowns and returns Serve as primary point of contact for strike crew communications and conflict resolution Coordinate with design and warehouse teams to ensure inventory availability for upcoming events Assist with truck loading/unloading logistics and warehouse organization as needed Conduct routine inventory audits and support reorder/restock processes Train and onboard new strike team members and seasonal support staff Fleet Management Work closely with the Floral Managers to ensure that client expectations are understood and exceeded. Address any operational issues or questions that may arise during events to ensure client satisfaction. Monitor expenses and ensure that operations stay within budget. Work with the Floral Director to forecast budgets for upcoming projects and allocate resources effectively. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Maintain a safe working environment for all staff and oversee the proper handling of flowers and equipment Help inventory incoming floral when receiving
Qualifications:
2+ years in inventory management, warehouse leadership, or logistics preferred Prior team management experience strongly preferred, ideally in events or hospitality Comfortable working flexible hours, including nights and weekends Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in fast-paced warehouse/event environments ability to climb a ladder Valid driver's license with clean driving record
