Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Barback and be the backbone of an energetic, fast-paced venue! In this vital role, you will support bartenders and serve guests by ensuring the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and running smoothly. Your enthusiasm and proactive attitude will help create a lively atmosphere where customers feel welcomed and valued. Duties Assist bartenders by restocking alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies quickly and efficiently to maintain continuous service Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glassware, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes from the bar and dining areas to keep the it tidy and inviting Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of crates, kegs, or supplies safely and according to safety protocols Support food preparation activities when needed, including assembling garnishes or assisting with light food service tasks Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for cash handling or verifying orders when required Ensure adherence to all food service bar safety regulations and venue policies at all times Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or bar environments is required; enthusiasm to learn is essential Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing Knowledge of cleaning procedures, bar cleaning standards, and food safety compliance in a hospitality setting Experience with POS systems such as Toast or similar is a plus Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment Food Handlers Certification & TABC Certification required Join us as a Barback and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences!
