Description If you are an operations leader passionate about building high-performing teams and driving operational excellence, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Based at our Forney Distribution Center, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, inventory execution, and order fulfillment. This role is accountable for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable operations while driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. You will partner closely with Customer Service, Inventory, Materials, Transportation, and other cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, eliminate waste, and build sustainable operating processes. This position operates under the general guidance of the Plant Manager. As the Operations Manager, you will: Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, shipping, and inventory execution Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance through disciplined daily management and KPI reviews Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Monitor operational performance using KPIs such as throughput, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock, order accuracy, and on-time shipment Partner with Customer Service, Inventory, Transportation, and Materials to resolve operational constraints and improve customer service performance Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions for operational issues Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and company policies Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse layout, material flow, labor utilization, and operating processes Develop and maintain standard work, operating procedures (SOPs), and operational controls Support peak planning, workforce planning, and resource allocation to meet business demands Lead additional projects and initiatives as assigned by the Plant Manager Required education, experiences & skills: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing operations Demonstrated experience leading supervisors and frontline teams in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping/receiving processes Experience utilizing ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (Oracle, SAP, Manhattan, etc.) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills Proven ability to drive operational improvements through data, standard work, and continuous improvement methodologies Preferred education, experiences & skills: Experience leading multi-shift distribution center operations Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience Experience with Daily Management Systems (Tier meetings, KPI reviews, Leader Standard Work) Knowledge of warehouse automation and material handling systems Experience leading change management and operational transformation initiatives OSHA knowledge and forklift safety certification preferred
