A Warehouse Manager manages warehouse storage of inventory or supplies for a company. Maintains records of inventory and supplies; oversees distribution from storage out to customers, retail distributors or other company facilities.
Manages inbound warehouse operations, ensuring accurate receipt, documentation, and safe storage of shipments to support inventory accuracy and timely fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive large shipments and match contents with invoice details. Verify purchase orders or bills of lading to confirm product and quantity match. Safely stock goods in the warehouse. Document shipment details such as weight, parcel count, duty charges, and other parameters. Monitor net expenses and related data for consumer‑shipped goods. Identify and resolve shortages, damages, or demand delays, adjusting stocks accordingly. Maintain location‑to‑location transfer reports. File freight claims with inbound freight lines. Record and report inbound freight discrepancies. Staff and supervise the warehouse receiving team, training and developing associates.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse receiving. Ability to handle multiple large deliveries. Ability to create and print invoices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, preferably Outlook and Excel. Strong communication and organizational skills for recordkeeping of invoices, bill of lading, PO, etc. Self‑motivated, team player, proactive in taking initiative. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and follow‑through skills. Reliable, time‑management, detail oriented, accurate in providing information to associates. Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, order picker, electric pallet jack). Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet cutoff periods and deadlines.
