Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Yard Manager to lead our Irving distribution yard operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the efficient movement of freight, manage warehouse and logistics teams, and ensure seamless coordination between transportation, inventory, and distribution activities. Your proactive approach will drive process improvements, optimize supply chain workflows, and uphold safety standards across the yard. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to make a significant impact on our operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead and supervise yard staff fostering a team-oriented environment focused on safety and productivity. Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to coordinate freight movement, inventory control, and order fulfillment accurately and efficiently. Implement process improvements and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline yard operations. Manage distribution operations by scheduling shipments and coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL). Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipping & receiving protocols, and warehouse procedures while maintaining high standards of quality assurance. Optimize labor hours. Qualifications Strong background in logistics operations including proven experience in warehouse supervision, distribution management and Heavy Haul trucking. Rigging experience highly preferred. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Familiarity with transportation planning systems(KMotion) and warehouse management systems(Extensive). Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts including freight handling, inventory control, procurement, and order fulfillment. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff and coordinate cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and data analysis. Manage inbound/outbound today while always looking forward to what's ahead on the schedule for next week.
