Revenue has roughly doubled in the last year. We ship about 1,400 orders a month, most same or next day, largely on our own trucks. We are midway through a NetSuite ERP and warehouse management system (WMS) rollout and need an operations leader to finish it on the floor. The Role This is a build role, not a caretaker role. You will own the Plano warehouse and eventually, the Houston spoke, from end to end: receiving, inventory control, pick, pack and ship, delivery dispatch, labor planning, and completing the WMS rollout. You report directly to the President and will have the authority to hire, remove staff and change processes without weekly direction. What Success Looks Like Inventory accuracy: 97% or better on cycle counts and location audits for December, January and February Order accuracy: 99% or better within your first 21 days On time delivery: 95% or better within your first 30 days Your bonus is tied to these three results, and you will report on them weekly. What You'll Do Lead a full physical count and build a cycle count program across both sites Drive barcode scanning adoption and write the SOPs for receiving, putaway, picking and shipping Run same and next day B2B fulfillment and track order accuracy weekly Hire, schedule and manage a team of 10 to 25, including temporary labor, and plan labor to daily volume Own daily delivery dispatch and manage carrier and LTL costs Manage warehouse space and overflow storage across two sites with a focus on cost Set up a clear process for communicating short shipments to customers Requirements Inventory accuracy: You have taken a warehouse from unmeasured to measured inventory accuracy and can tell us the accuracy at your last two roles and how you measured it WMS go live: You have led a WMS go live with barcode scanning on the floor and wrote the SOPs. NetSuite WMS is a strong plus High volume B2B fulfillment: You have run same or next day B2B fulfillment (industrial, medical, foodservice, packaging or similar) and can quote your order error rate People leadership: You have hired, scheduled and removed warehouse staff, including temps, on a team of roughly 10 to 25

Systems:

You are comfortable in an ERP, spreadsheets and handheld scanners, and you use reports to run the operation Strongly Preferred Multi site experience with a cost focus, such as consolidating space, slotting a warehouse, or managing a 3PL Fleet dispatch experience at roughly 20 to 50 stops a day, plus carrier and LTL cost management including liftgate delivery Experience in packaging, cold chain, or medical supply distribution Netsuite experience Experience with driver routing and fleet management Who You Are You are a builder. You have been the first real operations leader at a growing distributor, or you have fixed one that was broken. You are decisive with people, you run the operation without being told what to focus on each week, and you want to be measured.
