Onsite Ogden, UT Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage a team of hourly employees who multitask in shipping, receiving, and warehousing all physical products. Manage recording of production entries and flow of product to and from production and inventory. Prepare all shipments for delivery to customers. Ensure all picking sheets and orders from the backorder report are shipped as soon as possible. Analyze the daily backorder report and open order report to ensure that all backordered parts are shipped once parts are in stock. Account each day for all orders/picking sheets to ensure no customer orders are lost. Make all shipping entries in shipping software to ensure parts are removed from inventory and customers are properly invoiced. Assist sales and tech teams with accurate tracking of shipments to customers. Interface with customers as needed to identify and track shipments. Create and label locations/storage areas for each finished good item. Ensure freight reports and record keeping is accurate. Raw material receiving - all raw materials received must be checked to ensure the items were ordered and received in the right quantity and condition. Receiving performed and updated in Syteline. Oversee Cycle counting - to test the accuracy of the inventory, daily cycle counting of randomly generated (blind counts) of inventory materials will be performed. All variances will be investigated as to their source and corrective action taken (processes changed, bills of materials corrected) to ensure the accuracy of inventory. Supervise the organization of all raw materials. Ensure that the inventory needs of all other depts. are met. Other tasks and duties as assigned by the
Operations Manager Qualifications/Education/Required Experience:
Leadership/management experience is required (1 to 2 years minimum) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skill with extreme attention to detail a must! Sound understanding of inventory control and production processes. Proven ability to meet goals and deliver results while utilizing effective leadership skills across a multi-functional organization. Superior interpersonal skills, ability to utilize teambuilding skills within all levels of the corporation. Practical logistics experience and OSHA forklift certification required. Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Syteline and the Internet. Ability to work in a team oriented environment and learn new ideas/methods quickly. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities using effective organizational and time-management skills.
