Job Description

Warehouse Manager Reports to
Store Manager SUMMARY:
Directs warehouse and delivery functions, including supervising warehouse staff
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains and organizes merchandise in the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner Samples merchandise and ensures all DC and allocated furniture are on the sales floor Maintains security of merchandise in warehouse and storage trailers, when applicable Immediate supervisor of delivery drivers and warehouse workers, including temporary labor Lines up delivery tickets and preps merchandise for delivery Checks delivery tickets at least two days in advance of delivery Oversees delivery drivers' daily inspection of vehicles and vehicle service records Assist in screening warehouse employee candidates and administers Defensive Driving testing Assists in loading and receiving of merchandise Responsible for repossessed merchandise Used Furniture Law Labels (VA only) and Sanitation Logs. Assembles furniture and assists in resetting the floor Maintains inventory accuracy and participates in physical inventories
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains inventory of cell phones, drills, and GPS devices (where applicable) Maintains stock of mandatory items, such as gloves, blades, etc. Participates in general housekeeping and weather-related tasks at manager's discretion Maintains and up-keeps outdoor displays and marquees Coordinates transfers and service calls
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Supervisory skills Knowledge of vehicle maintenance Some computer skills Above average organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of the Warehouse Manager, the employee will be regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, talk, hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. This employee is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch. This position requires the employee to frequently move or lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and occasionally move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques. This person must be able to visually inspect merchandise and delivery documents.
