Warehouse Manager

AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Manager for a client in Rocky Mount, VA. The Warehouse Manager will provide both strategic and hands-on leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency across all functions.

Schedule & Pay:

Full-time Salary:

$80,000 - $90,000 (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, schedule, and develop warehouse staff to ensure high performance and accountability Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of warehouse employees Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation Ensure proper documentation and system accuracy within ERP/WMS systems (NetSuite or similar) Oversee FEFO rotation, lot traceability, and raw material checks in compliance with food safety standards Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including dock scheduling and carrier communication Build and maintain relationships with freight carriers; negotiate rates and resolve service issues Collaborate with Production, QA, Purchasing, and Maintenance to ensure seamless operations Enforce all federal, state, and company safety and compliance regulations Ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment and proper employee certifications Report any food safety or quality concerns immediately

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field required Minimum 5 years of warehouse, distribution, or shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word Forklift certification or experience preferred Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in cold storage/freezer environments (as low as -10°F) Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching Ability to push and pull materials as needed #INDAI2472
