Job Description

Warehouse & Production Manager Vern's Cheese is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Production Manager to lead the daily operations of our warehouse distribution center and production department. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production and distribution while supporting the company's overall goals. The Warehouse & Production Manager will oversee daily warehouse and production activities, including receiving, picking, replenishment, loading, production, labor planning, and order fulfillment. This position will monitor productivity, quality, labor costs, overtime, product damage, spoilage, waste, and production yields. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can effectively manage and motivate employees, promote accountability, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage warehouse and production operations. Plan daily staffing and labor assignments based on workload and priorities. Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, completed on time, and prepared for delivery. Monitor productivity, labor costs, overtime, waste, spoilage, and product damage. Drive continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives. Maintain food safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and workplace safety standards. Train, mentor, and hold employees accountable for performance and attendance. Work closely with other departments to meet company and customer needs. Support the implementation and integration of software and technology. Step into hands-on operational duties when staffing or workload requires.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. 10+ years of warehouse management and food production/manufacturing experience. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with production planning, inventory management, and logistics. Knowledge of food industry quality, health, and safety requirements. This position works in both an office and manufacturing environment and may be exposed to typical manufacturing noise, dust, odors, and varying temperatures. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
