Job Description

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the receipt, storage of furniture, bedding and accessories. You will help ensure productivity targets are achieved. You will help ensure all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. Schedule Typically Tuesday-Saturday 8:00-4:30 (every Saturday) Pay $50,000 annual salary Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance 401k match Paid time off Employee discount Responsibilities Manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision Oversee receiving and warehousing operations Maintain standards of health, safety and security Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system Plan work by assigning tasks appropriately and appraise results Coach and motivate employees Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided Skills Proven work experience as an assistant manager Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Leadership skills and ability manage staff Strong decision making and problem solving skills Excellent communication skills Physical agility. Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver 200 pounds. Drive a forklift Lead Warehouse Assistants in their Duties and Responsibilities
  • Move inventory and materials across facilities.
  • Process inventory for delivery.
  • Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location.
  • Package items and label correctly.
  • Scan delivered items and ensure quality.
  • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
Pay:
$50,000.00 per year
