Job Description

Materials Manager - Ruskin Manufacturing Plant - Dothan, AL Overview We are seeking a Materials Manager to lead and enhance our supply chain, inventory management, and logistics operations at our Dothan, AL manufacturing/fabrication facility. This role is critical in ensuring material availability, production efficiency, and on-time delivery to meet customer demands. Why Join Us?

What You'll Do:
Scheduling, Planning, and Customer Delivery Coordinate with production schedules to ensure timely customer deliveries. Manage raw material availability and proactively adjust production needs to meet demand. Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize capacity planning and minimize costs. Inventory Management Lead inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and demand forecasting. Oversee excess and obsolete inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels. Coordinate movement and scheduling of materials across internal and external processing location. Warehouse & Logistics Oversight Manage inbound and outbound transportation in alignment with company logistics policies. Ensure warehouse operations have the necessary resources to execute efficiently and safely. Partner with supplier quality teams to drive compliance and improve logistics processes. Supplier Scheduling & Performance Optimize supplier schedules to improve production flow and cost efficiencies. Monitor supplier delivery performance, address escalations, and maintain smooth material flow. Negotiate and manage agreements and purchase orders for critical materials.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or combination of experience) 5 - 7 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or production environments Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
