Job Description
Montgomery area supply chain and Tier 1 Supplier to Hyundai and KIA is seeking a highly qualified Production Control Manager with at least 7 years of recent and relevant experience. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager. About the role The Production Control Manager m anages and coordinates all warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implements practices that improve the effectiveness and financial performance of the supply chain. Responsibilities of the Production Control Manager Interfaces with Plant Manager to control operating costs. Performs quarterly and/or annual physical inventories; provides inventory reports. Monitors and controls the order process, ensuring efficient and adequate flow of products. Develops, implements, and maintains processes to reduce costs and increase customer service. Coordinates activities of departments to deliver efficient material movement to drive costs/inventory investment down while improving accuracy and response time to customers. Manages the supply chain at the plant level, interfacing with vendors, third-party providers, and the materials/supply chain system. Oversees scheduling of production and packaging operations, procurement of materials, inventory control, and the effective utilization of personnel within the materials/logistics group. Performs other duties as assigned by Plant Manager. Requirements for the Production Control Manager Bachelor's degree preferred, not required. Seven years related experience or equivalent. Must be proficient in MS Office. Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Preferred Skills of the Production Control Manager Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing and fast paced work environment.
