In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end shipping and receiving processes, ensuring seamless coordination across warehouse management systems, transportation planning, and supply chain management. Your expertise will drive process improvements, optimize inventory control, and enhance overall efficiency. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Oversee warehouse operations including materials handling, stocking, inventory management systems, and warehouse management system (WMS) to optimize storage utilization and inventory accuracy. Lead procurement activities by sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing freight arrangements with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms, and SQL-based data analysis tools to monitor shipping logistics performance, analyze data collection trends, and implement process improvements. Collaborate cross-functionally with production planning, demand planning, procurement, customer service, and trade compliance teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and supply chain continuity. Conduct root cause analysis on shipping delays or issues to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies; implement corrective actions to enhance process flow. Lead category management initiatives by analyzing pricing strategies, freight costs, and inventory levels to maximize profit & loss outcomes while maintaining high service levels. Experience Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with extensive warehouse experience including warehouse distribution, inventory control, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Strong background in transportation planning, logistics management, freight negotiations, and international trade regulations. Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or equivalent, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel data analysis skills, spreadsheets, and database querying using SQL. Skilled in data analysis skills such as analysis of warehouse analytics data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. Experience managing vendor relationships including sourcing strategies and vendor management experience with 3PL providers or NVOCCs. Ability to lead process improvement initiatives using tools like root cause analysis; excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with manual handling procedures involving forklift operation or other materials handling equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
