Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Duties Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including sourcing, purchasing, pricing, demand planning, and inventory control to meet operational needs efficiently. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules that benefit the organization. Oversee warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, parts storage, and logistics inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels. Utilize inventory management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software to track parts movement, perform data entry, and generate reports for internal communication. Coordinate with automotive service teams to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs and maintenance, supporting dealership or workshop operations. Implement procurement management strategies aligned with manufacturing standards and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Supervise parts administration activities such as order management system updates, parts sourcing initiatives, and internal communication channels. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to forklift operation, warehouse safety protocols, and equipment maintenance like HVAC systems. Lead efforts in demand planning by analyzing sales trends and vehicle systems data to forecast future parts needs accurately. Support the development of sourcing strategies for auto body repair parts and automotive accessories while maintaining high customer service standards. Skills Extensive knowledge of automotive parts and accessories management combined with mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems. Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, logistics, and inventory control within an automotive or dealership environment. Strong negotiation skills with supplier management experience to secure favorable terms and build strategic partnerships. Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP software (such as SAP or Oracle), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with warehouse management practices including shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation certification. Ability to analyze data for demand planning purposes while managing pricing strategies effectively. Excellent internal communication skills to coordinate across departments seamlessly while providing exceptional customer service internally and externally. Knowledge of auto body repair processes, OEM standards, shipping & receiving protocols, and sourcing techniques for automotive parts. Experience with order management systems and parts sourcing platforms to streamline procurement workflows. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong organizational skills to oversee parts administration tasks efficiently.
