Job Description We are seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to lead complex logistics operations for large-scale projects involving heavy capital equipment and sensitive installations. This role requires hands-on involvement in planning, coordinating, and executing transportation and onsite support for major equipment deliveries. Responsibilities include ensuring proper storage, compliance, and installation completion. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are essential for coordinating with transportation providers and internal teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end logistics for projects involving medical devices/NPI and heavy capital equipment (e.g., large refrigeration units, heavy wooden crates).
- Coordinate with 3PL providers, carriers, and onsite teams for flawless execution.
- Oversee transportation, shipment scheduling, and onsite installation support.
- Ensure compliance with NDAs and project milestones.
- Provide tactical delivery support and onsite presence at customer locations.
- Collaborate with warehouse managers and transportation providers; willing to "roll up sleeves" when needed.
- Document milestones and maintain clear reporting for quarterly program completions.
- Handle sensitive, white-glove transport for large, heavy equipment.
Skills and Requirements Must-Haves:
- 5+ years in hands-on logistics (capital equipment, warehousing, transportation) with some project lead or supervision experience
- Experience managing 3PL operations and onsite customer interactions.
- Proven experience with heavy equipment movement and/or installation, or managing transportation and/or field service operations for large capital equipmento Experience with sensitive handling of heavy equipment (medical devices, consumer electronics, appliances, etc).
- Close proximity to major airport, with availability and flexibility for unpredictable travel around continental US (up to 50%) including weekends
