Job Description

Responsibilities:
Support shipping and receiving operations across both the engineering/prototype site and the pilot production site, including inspecting incoming components against packing slips/POs and coordinating outbound shipments Maintain inventory of components at both locations, ensuring materials are staged and available where and when engineering and production teams need them Perform regular physical inventory counts (cycle counts and full counts) to verify system accuracy against on-hand stock Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records Use Excel to track, reconcile, and report on inventory levels, material movement, and open orders Operate barcode scanning systems and receiving/MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software to log incoming and outgoing materials with accuracy Maintain organized, labeled storage locations for components at both sites to support quick retrieval and minimize search time Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to flag low-stock or at-risk components before they impact builds Support kitting or staging of components for prototype builds and pilot production runs as needed Maintain clean, accurate records of material transactions to support traceability and audits Travel or shuttle between the two sites as needed to support inventory needs at each location
Must-Have Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout a shift Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification) and comfort operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, sorting/filtering, and data entry Prior experience with barcode scanning systems and inventory/receiving software (MES, WMS, ERP, or similar) 2+ years of experience in warehouse, materials management, or inventory control, ideally in a manufacturing, hardware, or engineering environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between two site locations Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and cycle counting Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate proactively with engineering and production teams About West Valley Staffing Group (WVSG) Join a company with over five decades of expertise as a leading staffing partner in Silicon Valley and nationwide. $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
