Job Description
Full Steam Staffing is hiring a Logistics Supervisor for a busy food distribution center in Stockton, CA. The Logistics Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring products are received, stored, picked, and shipped accurately and efficiently. This position will lead warehouse personnel, monitor productivity and safety, coordinate inventory movement, and help ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or food distribution.
Lead, train, coach, and oversee warehouse employees to ensure productivity and performance standards are met.
Coordinate receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, picking, packing, and product movement.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory movement throughout the distribution center.
Ensure customer orders are accurately processed and shipped on schedule.
Monitor workflow and make adjustments to improve efficiency and productivity.
Ensure employees follow company policies, food safety procedures, and warehouse safety guidelines.
Conduct daily inspections to ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and operating safely.
Communicate with management regarding staffing, productivity, operational issues, and inventory concerns.
Assist with scheduling and workforce planning based on daily operational needs.
Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, inventory, and order discrepancies.
Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of warehouse and distribution activities.
Help identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors, and increase productivity.
Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsPrevious supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution center, or similar environment.
Experience working in a food distribution center or food warehouse environment strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Knowledge of workplace safety and food safety practices.
Basic computer skills and ability to use warehouse/logistics systems.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
