Job Description

Job Description In this highly regulated industry, the inventory lead is vital to the operation of the store. The Inventory Lead performs receiving and inventory tasks, including counting physical inventory and comparing counts with METRC and the POS system, verifying invoice and manifest accuracy for every shipment of both regulated products and unregulated products. The Inventory Lead is responsible for performing loss prevention activities by monitoring access to the safe room and ensuring compliance with Marijuana Enforcement Devision (MED) procedures and company policies and processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for physically organizing inventory in designated areas of the safe room with their proper RFID tags. Responsible for physically receiving incoming products and verifying accuracy (batching, weight, quantity, and name) and for performing initial quality assurance checks upon receipt. Creates or verifies accuracy of METRC and POS system manifests to account for all incoming shipments, including monitoring RFID tracking throughout the manufacturing and distribution process. Responsible for coordinating with compliance team, managers, and lead associates to address any quality assurance/compliance concerns. Reports inventory totals to management to determine purchasing needs. Ensuring the sales floor is fully stocked and organized. Ensuring product is stocked using the FIFO protocol. Creating compliance potency labels for concentrates, vapes and infused flower. Receiving products into POS system in a timely manner. Scanning and filing RFID tags to ensure every tag can be accounted for and easily found. Perform regular inventory audits including cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies and inventory adjustments. Communicate discrepancies to management. Notify purchasing manager of low stock products.
Required Skills & Experience & Education:
Must have 3+ years of inventory management experience at a retail cannabis facility. Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), as well local city policies and regulations. Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills. High-level of attention to detail, administrative skills, and highly organized. Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, HIPAA, and CDPHE requirements. Must be a self starter that can work both independently and collaborate with a team to meet deadlines and goals.
Work Requirements:
Must have or be able to acquire MED badge Must be at least 21 years of age. Other Requirements/Physical Requirements Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
