Logistics Manager

Job Description

Logistics Manager We are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate all overnight transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team of logistics coordinators, optimizing transportation processes, and ensuring timely, safe, and efficient movement of goods. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of transportation operations, and hands-on experience with various vehicle types.
Schedule:
1st shift M-F 8:30am to 5:30pm . Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Supervision Lead, mentor, and manage a team of overnight logistics coordinators. Monitor workload distribution, performance metrics, and adherence to operational standards. Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training and development. Operational Oversight Manage all overnight freight movements, ensuring on-time departures and deliveries. Oversee load planning, dispatch operations, and routing efficiency. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety protocols. Technology & Reporting Utilize Transportation Management Software (TMS) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting. Generate performance and operational reports to support decision-making. Troubleshoot and resolve TMS-related issues as needed. Problem-Solving & Customer Service Respond promptly to operational challenges, including route disruptions, driver issues, and equipment breakdowns. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain service excellence.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management. At least 2 years of team leadership experience managing logistics coordinators or similar roles. Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety compliance. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, overnight operational environment. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Experience in high-volume freight or regional distribution environments.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
