3008173169-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Manchester Memorial Hospital seeks a Periop Preference Card Manager to lead the build, maintenance, and optimization of surgical preference cards across perioperative services. In this on-site role, you will partner with surgeons, OR nurses, anesthesia, and materials management to ensure cards are clinically accurate, standardized, and cost-effective. Responsibilities include analyzing utilization data, reducing waste and delays, coordinating updates for new procedures and equipment, supporting staff training, and driving continuous quality and safety improvements in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Own the build, maintenance, and governance of perioperative preference cards for all surgical services. Collaborate with surgeons, OR nurses, anesthesia, and materials management to ensure clinical accuracy and standardization. Analyze utilization, case time, and supply data to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and support cost-effective care. Coordinate updates for new procedures, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely communication to perioperative staff. Partner with supply chain to align cards with formulary, inventory levels, and vendor contracts. Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and workflows for preference card management. Provide training and support to OR and perioperative teams on card usage and related system functionality. Monitor quality, safety, and compliance indicators related to preference card accuracy and OR workflow. Lead or support process-improvement initiatives within perioperative services. Report key metrics and recommendations to perioperative leadership and participate in multidisciplinary committees as needed.
