Job Type:
Full-time Position Summary Pro Metal Coating is seeking an organized, dependable, and hands-on Logistics Manager to oversee the scheduling and coordination of all incoming and outgoing material and deliveries. This position serves as the primary point of coordination between customers, drivers, production, and the office to ensure metal is picked up, received, processed, and delivered efficiently. The Logistics Manager will also assist with loading and unloading trucks using a forklift, maintain shipping and packaging supplies, and ensure accurate communication regarding delivery schedules and material movement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate all incoming metal pickups and outgoing customer deliveries. Communicate with customers regarding pickup availability, delivery schedules, job status, and special delivery requirements. Coordinate daily schedules and routes for company delivery drivers. Work closely with production and office staff to determine when completed jobs are ready for delivery. Maintain an organized schedule of upcoming pickups, deliveries, and material arriving at the facility. Receive and document incoming customer material. Verify that outgoing material and completed orders are properly identified and prepared before loading. Safely operate a forklift to load and unload customer material, company trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles. Assist drivers with loading trucks and preparing material before they leave for scheduled deliveries. After company drivers have left for their delivery routes, remain responsible for assisting customers who arrive at the facility to drop off incoming metal or materials. Unload customer drop-offs using a forklift as needed and ensure incoming material is placed in the proper receiving or staging area. Verify incoming customer material and communicate any discrepancies, damage, missing information, or special handling requirements to the appropriate team members. Assist drivers with properly positioning, securing, and protecting material for transportation. Monitor and maintain inventory of packaging and shipping supplies, including wrapping materials, protective materials, pallets, straps, tape, and other necessary supplies. Order or notify management when shipping and packaging supplies need to be replenished. Maintain an organized loading, receiving, and shipping area. Track material movement and assist in preventing misplaced, incomplete, or incorrectly delivered orders. Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and transportation records. Communicate schedule changes, delays, damaged material, or other logistical concerns to the appropriate team members. Assist with general warehouse organization and inventory as needed. Help ensure company vehicles and trailers are being properly utilized and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow company safety procedures and applicable transportation requirements. Assist with maintaining transportation and delivery compliance documentation as needed. Perform additional logistics, warehouse, and operational duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, transportation, manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Experience scheduling and coordinating multiple pickups and deliveries. Forklift experience required; forklift certification preferred. Ability to safely load and unload trucks and trailers. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, drivers, vendors, and employees. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite , particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook . Comfortable maintaining spreadsheets, schedules, inventory records, and other tracking documents. Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and adjust quickly when schedules or production needs change. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with multiple departments. Valid driver's license preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation compliance, and driver safety requirements is a strong plus. Previous DOT training, compliance training, or experience maintaining DOT-related records and documentation is preferred. Previous experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, powder coating, painting, or similar industrial environment is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both an office and warehouse/manufacturing environment. Ability to operate a forklift safely. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work around trucks and industrial equipment throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move shipping and packaging materials as required. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions while coordinating loading and unloading activities. $56,202.01 - $67,684.14 per year
