- accountable for the strategy, compliance posture, quality performance, and future direction of every inbound and outbound movement of goods the company touches.
- build and lead a logistics organization capable of supporting a growing defense and aerospace order book
- Set the vision, operating model, budget, and multi-year roadmap for the department and present performance and strategy directly to executive leadership.
- Build forecasting models that anticipate future order volume and translate the sales and contract pipeline into logistics capacity, staffing, and carrier requirements.
- Partner with sales, program management, and procurement to align inventory positioning and shipping capacity with projected demand and contract award timelines.
- Design and deliver structured training programs that certify and continually upskill staff on DoD compliance standards, documentation, and handling requirements.
- Implement inspection, verification, and corrective-action processes that reduce nonconformances and protect the companys standing with government customers.
- Spearhead the modernization of the logistics department, evaluating and deploying the systems, automation, and technology that will define its future.
