Job Description
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, production control, inventory management, demand planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). This role will play a key part in ensuring materials and capacity are aligned with production needs while improving on-time delivery, inventory performance, productivity, and cost. Key Responsibilities Lead supply chain functions including procurement, production control, inventory management, demand planning, and S&OP. Develop and maintain production schedules that align customer demand with available labor, equipment, materials, and outside services. Lead the S&OP process and collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and other departments to align forecasts, capacity, inventory, and production plans. Manage supplier relationships, including pricing, lead times, quality, delivery performance, and supplier development. Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics. Analyze inventory, production, and cost data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, profitability, and delivery performance. Develop inventory strategies to maintain adequate materials while minimizing excess inventory. Partner with Manufacturing to resolve production and supply chain issues and ensure customer commitments are met. Drive Lean, continuous improvement, and standardized work initiatives across supply chain and production control. Lead, coach, and develop supply chain and production control teams while establishing clear goals and accountability. Develop long-term strategies for demand planning, capacity optimization, productivity, and cost reduction. Provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior leadership regarding supply chain performance, risks, and improvement opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. 10+ years of experience in supply chain and production control. 5+ years of experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). Previous leadership experience managing procurement, production control, and/or inventory functions. Experience in Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Make-to-Order (MTO) manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of supply chain, production planning, inventory management, and procurement. Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change. Strong Excel skills and experience working with large data sets. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple priorities and production deadlines. The ideal candidate is a strategic, analytical, and hands-on supply chain leader who can effectively balance long-term planning with the day-to-day needs of a manufacturing operation. Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of improving supply chain performance are essential.
