Sanford, FL Job Details Full-time $50,000 - $70,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Forklift Certification Operational analysis Forklift Vendor relationship management Aviation Materials handling Full Job Description Position Summary The Purchasing & Inventory Control Manager plans, sources, purchases, and manages inventory of parts, materials, components, and consumables directly related to finished products produced through American Environmental Aviation, Inc.'s operations. The position ensures timely availability of quality materials, maintains appropriate inventory levels, controls purchasing and inventory costs, supports uninterrupted manufacturing and assembly, and connects purchasing and inventory activities with engineering, production, and sales requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Purchasing, Procurement & Supplier Management Develop procurement strategies; purchase pumping-skid and finished-assembly items, spare parts, consumables, and other production materials; source and evaluate domestic suppliers; negotiate pricing, delivery, service, and related terms; issue purchase orders under company policy; and monitor open requirements. Maintain effective supplier relationships, monitor product quality, pricing, delivery performance, and service, and address performance issues affecting AEAV purchasing and operations. 2. Inventory Planning & Control Use forecasting, demand planning, inventory analysis, turnover, and stock-availability information to maintain materials needed for manufacturing and assembly while controlling shortages, interruptions, excess inventory, and unnecessary investment. 3. Receiving, Storage & Inventory Accuracy Oversee receiving, proper storage, and stock rotation; maintain accurate physical and system quantities and records; conduct audits and cycle counts; investigate warehouse variances; and resolve discrepancies. 4. BOM, Systems & Reporting Coordination Coordinate with engineering, production, and sales to determine current and forecasted material needs; support Bills of Materials and BOM updates affecting purchasing and inventory. Maintain accurate procurement and inventory information and documentation in AEAV systems; use JobBoss as applicable and Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools for analysis, communication, audits, and operational support. 5. Cost Control, Optimization & Compliance Analyze purchasing trends and inventory performance; identify cost savings and efficiency improvements; monitor savings and budget compliance; and evaluate opportunities for operational or financial improvement. Identify and manage obsolete, slow-moving, and excess inventory while balancing stock availability and carrying requirements. Follow company quality standards, applicable regulatory requirements, purchasing and inventory documentation requirements, safety procedures, and work instructions. Required Qualifications Four to six years of purchasing, inventory-management, supply-chain, or related experience, including supplier relationships, sourcing, purchasing, materials or components, and inventory-control practices. Aviation fuel systems, industrial equipment, manufacturing, and knowledge of aviation fueling components are preferred or highly desirable. Skills & Competencies Supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and performance management; forecasting and demand planning; inventory controls including FIFO/LIFO, cycle counting, and ABC analysis; discrepancy reconciliation; JobBoss; advanced Excel; reporting and analysis; accurate electronic records; leadership; communication; organization; deadline management; and attention to quality, compliance, and safety. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Inventory accuracy, stock availability and service level, inventory turnover, warehouse variance, obsolete and excess inventory, procurement cost savings, supplier on-time delivery, purchase-order cycle time, budget compliance, and internal customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Work in office and warehouse settings; follow safety procedures; maintain accuracy during physical and administrative work; stand or walk for much of a shift when required; repeatedly lift items up to 50 pounds; and work safely around warehouse and material-handling activities. Forklift operation may be required or beneficial, and certification is a plus. Key Working Relationships Coordinates purchasing and inventory requirements with engineering, production, sales, domestic suppliers, warehouse and receiving activities, and other AEAV personnel needing parts, materials, or inventory support. Position Objective Ensure AEAV has the correct parts and materials, in the correct quantities, when required, while maintaining purchasing discipline, supplier performance, inventory accuracy, cost control, and appropriate inventory levels and balancing availability against inventory investment, obsolescence, and excess stock.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
