Materials Management P&D Tech

JOB SUMMARY

Receive parts, supplies, materials and tools into department. Prepare for storage, and store in assigned locations. Label supplies and stock storeroom. Maintain related record of stock receipts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Keep Central Supply clean and at all times Dust and wash the shelves in storage areas Organize, check, and stock Central Supply and Supply Room daily. Place stock on shelves until needed. Check expiration date on all supplies. Receive and label supplies. Check supply room par level in the Emergency, OR, Med-Surg and Out Patient Departments, twice daily. Restock empty bins as needed. Check for expired dates on supplies in these rooms monthly. Ensure safe storage of equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain linen count weekly, place weekly order and check in when delivered. Maintain habits of good personal hygiene and follow rules of conduct. Complete necessary forms and reports. Assume responsibility for Central Supply in the absence of the manger/supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCTION AND TRAINING

High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write. Follow oral and written directions.

MINIMUM WORK EXPIERENCE

Previous hospital experience, or completion of appropriate training program preferred.
