The Service and Parts Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable Service and Parts Department. The Service and Parts Manager will operate the department at maximum production, controlling cost, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relationships, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records, and achieving a high CSI score. The Service and Parts Manager will accomplish Parts objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising.

COMMISSION ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Maintain strict confidentiality of confidential personal information of our customers in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, implementing the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act as they pertain to automobile dealerships. Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them. Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department. Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc. Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staff. Communicate with staff to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed. Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees. Monitor the technicians' payroll records. Establish and maintain good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personal recruitment activities. Serve as liaison with factory representatives. Promptly provide customers with fair estimates on costs and time required for repair and maintenance. Break down estimates into labor and parts before the job is started so that repair technicians are aware of time allowances. Quality-check completed jobs. Oversee department performance with daily operating control, efficiency and productivity control, comeback reports, warranty reports, telephone surveys, and monthly forecasts. Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the factory. Monitor repair order trends, such as number of repair orders completed, number of items per repair order, dollar sales per repair order, dollar sales per service advisor, etc. Oversee and manage customers' service files for readily up-to-date reference. Enforce control over service loaner vehicles. Monitors parts department employees' payroll records. Develop, enforce, and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business. Completes DIT sheets when applicable.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Service and Parts Departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MISCELLANEOUS
Present recommendations and assist in implementing quality initiatives to the team. Become a brand ambassador by having extensive brand and product knowledge to help cross-sell, up-sell, grow customer relationships and foster loyalty. Create customer and employee interactions that foster positive outcomes. Provide support on any other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have a bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a 4-year college or university; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have 2 years of service and parts management experience in an auto repair facility. Must have one (1) year of experience with customer service, cash handling, and sales. Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time. Ability to look up parts and quote prices for parts using proper catalogue. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must possess strong management and leadership abilities. Must be CSI oriented. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent supervisory and managerial skills. Ability to operate the department at a profit according ASE certification, preferred. CDK Experience preferred.
