Our client, a leader in Manufacturing industry, is seeking an Automation/Controls Project Manager to join their team.
Job Title:
Automation/Controls (PLCs)
Project Manager Location:
DeKalb, Illinois Pay Range:
$30 to $50 p/h on W-2
Duration:
12 month contract What's the Job? Lead automation and capital projects from concept through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and meet business objectives. Develop and manage project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and executive status reports. Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and external vendors. Manage installation, commissioning, and startup activities for automation and capital equipment. Support implementation of warehouse automation technologies such as ASRS, AMRs, robotics, conveyor systems, and WES. What's Needed? BS in Engineering, Automation or related field Strong knowledge of Project Management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling systems, and supply chain processes. Experience implementing automation technologies within manufacturing or distribution environments. Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
