Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is coordinates daily inventory operations to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficiency across all warehouse and production areas. This role oversees cycle counts, monitors inventory transactions, investigates discrepancies, and supports CI initiatives in alignment with company objectives. The Inventory Control Supervisor helps coordinate information flow between production, purchasing, and logistics to maintain data integrity within the ERP system and ensure materials are available where and when needed.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily inventory control activities (cycle counts, audits, adjustments, and reconciliations). Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and ERP records. Maintain and update part locations, cycle counts, and Kanban replenishment systems. Support year-end physical inventory and variance analysis. Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and production departments to ensure timely and accurate material movement. Train and guide inventory team members in proper counting, labeling, and data entry procedures. Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and drive CI initiatives to reduce variances. Generate/analyze reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and stock discrepancies. Support cross-functional projects involving inventory reduction, space utilization, and process optimization. Enforce safety, 5S, and quality standards within all inventory areas.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain, or equivalent work experience. 4+ years previous experience in an inventory control or warehouse supervisory role (people leadership) Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Experience with Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies a plus. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Adept at collaborating cross-functionally and pivoting among competing priorities Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one preferred.
