Role :
Responsible for managing all aspects of development with donors, events, and external marketing including maintaining positive relationships with customers, donors, and stakeholders to expand and assist with diversification of resources. Provide donor revenue and marketing development through donor cultivation, special events, and external networking and promotion of FamilyCore programs. Responsibilities:
Prepare, implement, and lead the Annual Development Plan, including special events, direct mail, planned giving, and personal contact with foundations and corporations. Write, design, and prepare all materials for fund-raising efforts, including but not limited to, campaign solicitation letters, lists of donors' and prospects, financial status reports, and recognition and acknowledgement of contributors. Market FamilyCore needs and seeks appropriate funding support through a variety of sources. Contracts with business and community groups for special project(s) donations and contributions. Educate the community and promotion of services and status of efforts on a broad scale through multimedia coverage, various marketing projects and being a visible community representative. Prepare and implement full event cycle (strategy, budgeting, record keeping, sponsorship solicitation and development, close out, and evaluation) for major events such as, but not limited to, Golf Outing, and Frosty 5k. Recruit and screen volunteers for various FamilyCore programs. Assist the Human Resources Director with data entry, compliance mechanisms, filing and benefit upkeep, orientation preparation, and various duties of moderate difficulty. Oversee the development and maintenance of procedures and distribution of quality documentation that complies with the requirements of charity laws, accreditation, licensing, and contracts. Collaborate and contribute to team and FamilyCore quality improvement and evaluation activities. Adhere to standards adopted through Council on Accreditation. Ability to organize and maintain data and confidential information. Develop and maintain working relationships with all internal and external clients. Ensure safety protocols and policies are practiced at all times. Assume responsibility for professional development and cultural competency Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, marketing, or related area required. 4-6 years related experience required. Substitution allowed for some college and/or equivalent experience. Customer relations, donor relations, or sales experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.
Competency:
Ability to plan, budget, and organize in a management capacity. Collaborate and contribute to team and FamilyCore quality improvement and evaluation activities. Oversee the development and maintenance of procedures and distribution of quality documentation that complies with the requirements of accreditation, licensing, and contracts. Promote and demonstrate commitment to FamilyCore's mission, vision and values. Strong skill in the areas of fiscal, personnel, and administrative management. Highly responsive to client and staff needs with respect to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. Excellent communication and planning skills. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Ability to analyze, process, organize, present and maintain data and confidential information. Working knowledge of fundraising software and marketing awareness. Ability to establish and maintain a client focus. Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with clients. Utilize time tracking software and all other software required to fulfill duties. Safe, reliable personal vehicle, to be used for FamilyCore business. Must possess valid Illinois Driver's License in good standing and proof of valid vehicle insurance. Must pass required background check with Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Must pass background checks with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Health Care Worker Registry, and Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services OIG Provider Sanctions. Ability to be sensitive and understanding of cultural and lifestyle differences of all people regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, age, or background. Successfully complete FamilyCore training as required.
Physical:
Frequently move about the office environment, including walking or standing as needed to complete job duties. Regular use of hands and fingers to type, handle documents, or operate office technology. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a multi-line phone, computer (single or dual monitors), printer, copier, and fax machine. Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally stoop, bend, or reach overhead during routine office tasks. Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds that are part of typical office operations. Perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment:
Work occurs in and out of an office environment. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. May be subject to noise, distraction, and interruptions. May be subject to difficult client interactions that involve behavioral and/or emotional challenges.
