Duties and Responsibilities:

Schedule Creation:

Build and update detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts and customer orders. Production plan for budgeting purposes annually.

Resource Allocation:

Assign staff, equipment, and raw materials efficiently to maximize plant performance. Locate and evaluate vendors for materials, if necessary.

Inventory Control:

Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent costly shortages or excess overstock. Usage of lean principles would apply to processes and pull planning.

Issue Resolution:

Spot production bottlenecks or delays quickly and adjust workflows to minimize downtime.

Cross-Function Communication:

Work closely with procurement, warehouse, quality control, and plant managers to align on goals.

Reporting:

Track metrics and present production status and performance data to upper management. About the
