Job Description Job Description The Storeroom Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the storeroom to ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of materials and supplies to support production and facility operations. This role oversees all storeroom leads and helpers across the assigned shift, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces food safety and sanitation standards, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting production flow and ensuring materials are always available, correctly handled, and stored. Essential Functions
  • Supervise all storeroom staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, labeling, storage, rotation, and issuing of materials and ingredients.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Maintain storeroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with GMP, HACCP, and OSHA standards.
  • Use inventory management systems (e.g., SAGE) to track movement, update records, and generate reports.
  • Communicate daily with production, purchasing, and inventory control teams to align material needs.
  • Ensure all storeroom activities support production timelines and quality standards.
  • Lead or support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure safety procedures, PPE usage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Provide coaching, resolve minor personnel issues, and escalate major concerns to management or HR. Issue disciplinary corrective action as needed.
  • Prepares shift handovers, logs, and reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations or Storeroom Manager. Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or supply operations, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems, materials handling, and FIFO principles.
  • Familiarity with food safety and regulatory requirements (GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and inventory software (ERP/SAGE systems).
  • Excellent problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Forklift and pallet jack certification or willingness to obtain is required.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend both languages. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus. Read More Special Notes/Instructions Physical Demands The physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to:
